Following mass protest in various states of the country, awọn Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) has fixed nationwide strike for January 11, 2011.
The strike was scheduled for next week for the union to strategize and to stock their houses with food items that would last them for a long period.
The Labour Union has planned not to suspend the strike for any reason unless the government reverses its decision on the fuel subsidy removal.
Meanwhile leaders of the congress will meet today on plans for the effectiveness of the strike.
On the subsidy saving board organized by President Jonathan, the union plans to boycott the meeting unless the Federal Government reverses its decision.
