Meet Saheed Adepoju co-founder of the first African Tablet PC Company

Saheed AdepojuTanpri di nou sou tèt ou, background ou ak enterè.
My name is Saheed Adepoju, 28 yrs, the co-founder and CEO of Encipher limited. I have a degree in Mathematics/Computer science from FUT Minna and a postgrad degree from Bournemouth University in Advanced Computing. My interest spans building mobile apps to working on ideas that are traditionally thought to be volatile for emerging markets.

Kouman fasil te kòmanse moute?
Starting up was relatively easy but as with all things, it is good to start small. Once we zoned in on what we wanted to achieve we pretty much went for it. All we need was to start and innovate quickly as time went on.

Ki sa ki te echèk pi gwo ou e ki jan yo afekte siksè ou?
One of the moves we made that may be considered to be a failure is our original move to go with a UK-based Cloud computing reseller. This proved to be a wrong move as their business model required commitments of funds which was a lot considering the stage we were as a company. As a result, we lost plenty of funds we would have injected into the INYE project. Sepandan, we recovered quickly and Google now becomes a preferred Cloud computing partner.

Ki sa ou te aprann nan men echèk ou?
1. We learnt one has to take responsibilities for their actions. We admit it internally as we moved on.
2. We have learnt to make calculated financial risks from now on.

INYE-The First Inspired Android-Based Tablet For Nigeria

Ki sa ki jalons gen ou reyalize byen lwen tèlman?
We have successfully created brand awareness for the first inspired android-based tablet for Nigeria.
We have successfully created meaningful partnerships with local application developers.

If you are not doing web business, sa ki biznis ou ta yo te fè?
Interesting question: I would have been into alternative sources of energy (Green technology); it doesn’t still stop me from running things in this arena though 🙂

what impact have social media had on you personally and business wise?
Social media has pretty much been the propelling agent to help build our brand. If there was no social media it would have been an uphill task to push our brand.

Pwal pi devan, sa nou ta dwe atann nan men ou ak nenpòt anons oswa pwojè kap vini?
We are gearing up to releasing INYE-2 in multiple stores around the country. We finalizing our funding arrangements and we are geared to pushing INYE even much higher. We also are working on web platform product which involves financial services and are in final phases and will make announcements very soon. We are quite excited about our roadmap and do hope the consumer will also be happy.

Nenpòt konsèy final yo fè pou boujònman antreprenè?
Start small, innovate incrementally, build a brand and don’t ever forget to have fun.
